Director / West Kootenays
The cultural sector has always played a significant role in my life. Creative people make a huge difference in a community – and in the lives of individuals. I earned a degree in cultural planning in order to be able to support creativity in all its practices and to support cultural development in my work with Columbia Basin Trust. My background includes work in the public sector – Community Development (BA Political Science) ; Social Worker (BSW) and in the private sector as a manager of a shopping mall and owner of an art gallery. As a volunteer in the cultural sector I have served with boards of Arts Councils, community theatres, and Arts Health Network. I have also worked closely with several First Nations artists in BC. I look forward to serving Arts BC and its members in any way I can. I am currently serving my final year as director with Heritage BC, and live in Nakusp.
