Director / Peace-Liard
Lydia Hibbing is an Artist, Musician and Arts Advocate living in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia. She is passionate about the Arts and believes that they play a pivotal role in shaping our communities. Lydia exhibits her artwork throughout Canada and currently has work on tour in Alberta. Very active musically, Lydia has achieved much in her short musical career including supporting The Sam Roberts Band, writing and recording with B.C. rapper Stretch-9 and performing regularly at GrizFest and WestMo Days. At the moment she sings and plays the keys with The Mechanical Botanicals, an acoustic duo based out of Tumbler Ridge.
In addition to her personal work Lydia is very involved within the communal arts sphere. Lydia is Vice President of the Peace Liard Regional Arts Council, Arts BC Regional Director for the Peace Liard Region, Director-at-Large for the Tumbler Ridge Community Arts Council, a member of the South Peace Art Society, a Supporting Member of The Canadian Federation of Artists and she sits on the Board of Directors for the Art Of The Peace Visual Arts Society.
