Sulhutsineh ink’s Sulhutusneh Njan Lhenaohudulh (Brothers & Sisters Gather Here)
Sulhutsineh ink’s Sulhutusneh Njan Lhenaohudulh (Brothers and Sisters Gather Here) by Damian John is the first piece of public art installed in AHSPG’s Urban Aboriginal Community. Inspired by the Dakelh word Lheidli (“confluence”), the artwork was digitally designed and printed on durable aluminum panels with colors reflecting the northern lights. It is located at 1965 17th Avenue, on the northwest corner of a three-storey building providing 35 supportive homes for Indigenous Elders and seniors at risk of homelessness, and is part of a larger development featuring affordable housing, a childcare facility, and community spaces.
