Jeanne Erickson Art

Jeanne Erickson is a visual artist based on Galiano Island whose work focuses on trees as living portraits of place, resilience, and environmental connection. Painting from direct experience, her work reflects the rhythms, forms, and emotional presence of forests, shorelines, and natural landscapes.

A longtime member of the Southern Gulf Islands Artists’ Association, Erickson has painted Galiano Island since 1990 and draws inspiration from the island’s endangered Garry oak ecosystems as well as time spent in Costa Rica’s ancient forests. Her paintings aim to bring the quiet power of trees indoors, encouraging reflection, care, and stewardship through art.

Jeanne Erickson regularly paints and shows work at the Galiano Island Saturday Market during the season. Original paintings, prints, and cards are available at the Galiano Island Saturday Market, Art and Soul Craft Gallery, The Loose Leaf, and Ixchel Galiano Craft Shop.
