Salmon Sessions Music Festival 2026
Salmon Sessions is a family-friendly community music festival celebrating local talent, arts, and connection in South Surrey–White Rock. Taking place on August 22, 2026, at the Semiahmoo Fish & Game Club, the festival brings together live music, local vendors, food trucks, family activities, and community experiences for an evening celebrating the creativity and spirit of the region.
This year’s lineup features:
Wailin’ Walker Band
A Canadian blues powerhouse led by guitarist, singer, songwriter, and band leader Al “Wailin’” Walker. With a career spanning decades, including his first recordings in the late 1970s, the Wailin’ Walker Band brings authentic blues, strong musicianship, and a powerful live performance.
Generous Thieves
A Canadian reggae band known for their energetic performances and unique sound. Formed in 2021, the band has built a growing following, including success in Japan and multiple tours across Canada.
Three Nines Fine
A blues-inspired rock and roll band bringing a high-energy performance filled with soulful sounds, strong rhythms, and classic rock influences.
James Shepherd
A White Rock-based guitarist known for his versatility, musicianship, and strong presence in the local music scene. Joined by Mike Ellerbeck on bass and Ian Paxton on drums and vocals, James brings a dynamic and engaging live performance.
Westwood Theory
A young BC-based band formed through after-school jam sessions. Their fresh sound and passion for music represent the next generation of local artists.
Sophia Bouvier
A talented young musician who began busking with her ukulele at age eight before expanding to guitar and keyboard. Inspired by artists such as Lana Del Rey, Billie Eilish, Nina Simone, Amy Winehouse, and Sade, Sophia performs a mix of covers and original music, including her debut single “Poison Apple.”
Alongside the music lineup, attendees can enjoy an artisan market, food vendors, a family fun zone, hatchery tours, and community activities, making Salmon Sessions a celebration of music, creativity, and community for all ages.
