Elizabeth George is a Tofino-based artist whose days revolve around creativity and family. Whether she’s weaving or working with beads, each piece begins with sourcing materials, which is often a family effort, guided by the seasons and what the land and ocean provide. With a family full of artists, creativity is a shared language. They play an active role in Elizabeth’s work, supporting her at markets and contributing to her artistic process.

Teaching is also a key part of Elizabeth’s life. She finds deep joy in passing on her skills and watching others grow, take pride in their work, and connect with their own creativity.

Rooted in community and culture, Elizabeth’s work is as much about sharing as it is about making—an ongoing conversation between tradition, family, and place.
