Introduction

Arts BC works in collaboration with value-aligned peer Arts Service Organizations and community leaders on sector-wide initiatives that respond to challenges and opportunities that arise across the arts and culture landscape in BC.

These sector-wide initiatives – such as shared research and surveying, policy advocacy, and co-developed tools or resources – are designed to strengthen the entire ecosystem. Rooted in equity, sustainability, and collaboration, they help shift the sector toward healthier, more connected, and resilient contexts.

Pathways

Pathways is a year-long program that supports BC-based arts, culture, and heritage organizations and collectives as they take action to more deeply embed equity and access in their work, whether that involves exploring complex questions, implementing new guidelines or policies, or deepening community relationships.

Participants will find a supportive community, individualized and relevant materials, and the time and resources to grow and deepen equity practices.

BC Coaltion of Arts, Culture and Heritage

The Coalition is a network of 30+ BC Arts Service Organizations working together to advance the sector through united messaging and a holistic view of sector advocacy. Centering equity, relationality, and transformative change, the Coalition strives to work with the sector, the Province, and cross-sector peers to ensure long-term sustainability for the arts, culture, and heritage sector in BC.

Arts BC is a member of the Coalition’s steering committee.
