Francophone Jacqueline Chamberland has been the Executive Director for the Pacific Rim Arts Society in Ucluelet, BC for the past 6 years. Chamberlain has been a very active member volunteer with Arts BC’s conference committee in 2015-16 prior to joining the board in spring 2016, as the Pacific Rim Arts Society will be the local host for Arts BC’s annual conference in 2017.

A former high-school teacher in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Chamberland taught courses in both French and English including literature and entrepreneurship. She also excelled in engaging youth in large-scale theatrical projects aimed at developing youth leadership skills. A former president of a rural Manitoba Chamber of Commerce, Chamberland has also volunteered as the treasurer for 7 years for Association des Enseignants et Enseignantes Franco-Manitobains, a local teacher’s union in Winnipeg, Manitoba and volunteered on Manitoba province-wide professional development committee for teachers.
